There are no equations in here. What the science quotes are about is method — Einstein on imagination, Edison on the ten thousand ways that did not work, Descartes on doubt, Sagan on wonder, and Sherlock Holmes on eliminating the impossible. They are the working notes of people whose job was being wrong productively, which makes them a strangely good fit for a puzzle you solve by ruling things out.
As boards, they are compact. Scientists write short, and a short cipher gives you less statistical ground to stand on: with thirty letters you cannot simply count your way to E. So you solve these more by structure than by frequency — the skeleton of two- and three-letter words, a word that repeats inside the sentence, and the one long technical noun (improbable, imagination, difficulty) that hands you five or six codes the moment it falls.
It is the closest the site gets to a genuinely deductive solve, and the quotes tend to reward it with something you will repeat later that week.
